Dr.
Manny Sanchez gets into some great backwater reds...this one just barely
at legal size. We didn't hit the water till after 2pm and had a busy afternoon
thumping on these brute rubberheads.
When afternoon winds pick up [and after everybody else leaves], large groups of fish often move up towards windward shorelines. This day the winds pushed to well over 2O and trashed the water, but fish can easily find a dark tail such as this Brown Lure Sea Devil in plum. Slow hops on the bottom were stopped hard many times this day....fun stuff. |
